Dear Flying Dragon,
On behalf of the Soldiers and families of the 1st Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment, CSM Woodell and I would like to welcome you to the Flying Dragons team. 1-52 Aviation Regiment, is located in Fairbanks, Alaska, and supports the United Sates Army Alaska (USARAK), the 7th Infantry Division, and the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade as a General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB). The Flying Dragons have many demanding and challenging training opportunities as we prepare to support any mission assigned within the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) area of responsibility. Therefore, be prepared for a challenging and rewarding tour of duty.

In order to better prepare yourself for this overseas assignment, and to get you integrated into the unit as quickly as possible, my Sponsorship Program Manager will need a good contact email and phone number. Your company sponsor will receive your contact information and will contact you within a few days of receipt of your email address and phone number. Your sponsor will be able to answer any questions you may have about your upcoming assignment to the unit or to Alaska. If you do not have a sponsor within 30 days from reporting, please contact the Sponsorship Program Manager.
This assignment provides unique opportunities for you to be on the cutting edge of Army Aviation and operate in a unique and challenging environment.
